Hello, I am at the point in the resource room remodel to move the copier out of Barbi's office into the resource room. I could use some assistance with this.
Because I know where it goes and what I need to prepare for it as it is being moved, I do need to be present when it is being moved. Please let me know when someone has time to help with this. I am at the church most mornings, but I can come other times too. The only day I am not available is tomorrow.
There is a 2 drawer filing cabinet from the resource room that needs to be taken to the dump. I tried to give it away on buy nothing and no one wants to come get it. Now it is garbage unless someone else wants it.
it is in the family room for now for your convenience.
George, I showed the 2 monitors and old paper shredder to Dave when I started this process last year. Dave put the monitors there and instructed me to put the old shredder into the janitor closet. Please ask Dave what his intentions are for those things. I believe they are to be recycled as they are old and really out of date.
The filing cabinets are here and now I need someone to take the pallet and large cardboard to the dump. Please let me know when this can happen.
If you have been in Pastor's office recently you can see that he could use more bookshelves. I took the shelf off the wall in the resource room and since it matches Pastor's shelves i thought that it could go on his wall above his desk next to the top shelf on the shelf wall. The way this would work is if the end was taken off the new shelf and but it up against the current shelves. Do we have any woodworking people that could help with this task? I don't think it would be very hard, It is just a little more than I could do.
Also, I found a shelf on Amazon that could replace his side table that is a cabinet on the bottom and shelves on the top $130+tax. I would like to purchase that for Pastor's office. Let me know if we have budget for that or should I wait until scrip is replenished after the resource room?
I found an issue that should be looked at. I was working in the Junk room/ resource room/ Becky's old office and turned the thermostat on so I was not freezing. I thought when I was finished, because it was so cold at the time, I should leave it on but the Lowest setting. I came back the next day to a scorching hot room. The heater is not being regulated. Of course, I shut it off. Now if I work in there I make sure to shut it all the way off. But this could be a fire hazard if left on for too long.
Hi Shawna, I verified what you report. The heater does not modulate with the thermostat at all. Even set to 40 it came full on. Until we can get it replaced please continue to shut off when you leave for the day. You can safely use the heater if cold in the room...just turn it off when warm enough or when leaving. Thank you for letting us know.
Here is an idea to address the Hymnal storage issue for the chairs in the back of the church. These are chair pockets. https://www.opentip.com/Muka-Chair-Pockets-for-Classroom-Home-Chair-Back-Organizer-Seat-Sack-16-p-13340132.html
They are $4.00 each if ordering 5 or more at a time . $5.99 each for singles.
Just a thought
Hi Trustees, I would like to put up a small Open/Closed sign next to the door of the library, closest to the preschool. This would help the preschoolers and parents know when I'm available for them to check out books. The sign I'm looking at is a silver frame with a side by side red "closed" and green "open" sign, with a slider to cover one. It is 7"x2" and I would use command strips so it would not damage the wall. Please let me know if this is ok.
Hi Trustees, I was up at church this afternoon and ...
